Hey everyone!
The next Meet and Greet is scheduled for tomorrow (Thursday), April 29th at the Counselor’s Hall at 7pm CST. I have a few things to bring up and wanted to get some general feedback. I don’t expect things to run longer than half an hour.

Miles and the two scouts that accompanied him could see now the high walls of their destination in the moonlit distance. All of the clues pointed to here. The forgotten tomes and ancient treatises he consulted suggested only one culprit responsible for releasing the Shadow of the Void into Britannia. And the recent and deliberate assault on Britain removed the last obstacle that barred his investigation; his own doubt.
Creeping silently and using the darkness as their cover, Miles and his companions reached the walls of the city, noting only now that while torches had been lit, there were no sentries that patrolled the bridge or the stone arch that opened up to the heart of the city. Both scouts both gave Miles the same look. Surely they could not have reached this far without spotting the enemy or, Virtues forbid, some kind of alarm being raised. And now, even passing the very gates of the enemy, a deafening silence, marred only by their own breathing, hung in the air around the seemingly empty towers and walls.
Motioning for them to continue, Miles edged his way into the city proper, and finding the shade of a nearby tree, he paused the group. Stretched out before him in a pale but miraculous display, visible even only by torchlight, stood the remains of what had once been undoubtedly a mighty and proud city, now turned into a den of evil. And for a moment Miles Brinn smiled as his trained eyes surveyed the scene around him, thinking what grandeur this city could be restored to were its current occupants held at bay.
A rustle nearby quickly snapped Miles from his reverie, but turned out to be only one of the scouts settling at another tree close by, having deemed the spot by Miles too crowded. Settling on the grass, Miles cautiously unwrapped the map he had brought with him, at great expense he might add. Seeing now the layout of some of the city in person, Miles was able to confirm his suspicion of where the rituals had been taking place. Things were beginning to fall into place, he thought to himself. Now all that remained was–
A soft twang of two arrows broke the stillness, the lone scout near Miles slumping over with a twice pierced throat. Well concealed by the tree and the bushes, Miles and his remaining companion remained as still as they could manage, their hearts racing in sudden and adrenaline driven anticipation.
A burly figure emerged from down near the bridge, its layered and large armor plating shined in the moonlight. It did not notice Miles as it stooped over to check its kill. From this vantage, Miles could likely down the figure in less than three moves and with little noise, but the appearance of a second figure, just as large and imposing, on the scene, quickly dashed away that notion.
Carefully lifting his hand to signal retreat, Miles hardly even had time to struggle as seemingly dozens of green skinned hands ambushed him, and before he could cry out, his head swam in pain just as he blacked out.
A segment I plan to do here and there to bring players up to speed on what is going on with the current EM arc (Void Rising) and any global arcs.

With little warning, the mysterious yet powerful breed of Void-spawned creatures that siege of the Holy City in far away Ter Mur have somehow spread into Britannia!
Led by the efforts of Queen Zhah, Queen Dawn, and Royal Investigator Miles Brinn, the Guard reacted swiftly, striking down a mighty Harbinger of the Void in the depths of Despise and dispersing the numerous rifts and Void beasts that threatened the nearby city of Britain. Several crystal formations found (and subsequently destroyed) are believed to be the cause of the attack.
In the aftermath of the attack, Void gems recovered from the battle suggest the presence of the Void is stronger than first anticipated.

Seeing the need for a well equipped army in a possible war against the Void, Queen Dawn called together craftsmen and women from across all facets to join in a night of crafting and camaraderie in the wake of the initial victory against the creatures of the Beyond.

Against the predictions of the Royal Court, a phenomenon known as the “Shadow of the Void” has blanketed nearly all of Trammel in a wave of dark energy. Void Crystal Formations began to appear and strengthen while Ter Mur Scholar Crexus and the Royal Mages underneath the Queen had rush to formulate a ritual to destroy or weaken the Shadow. Then in an instant, Britain had come under siege and it is only the timely actions of the Guard that save the capital city.
Now utterly convinced the appearance of the Void and the two assaults on Britain is no coincidence, Miles Brinn has begun an investigation of his own, determined to find out who has unleashed the Shadow upon the Kingdom and bring them to justice!

Sorry guys but unfortunately the mechanics of the easter basket (combined with other things mentioned) were on a timer, drastically reducing the time available to do the quest, to my misunderstanding. I will shoulder the blame for this one, having thought the timer was significantly longer, hence the extended duration of the quest that I posted.
Apologies to those that missed the quest timer, but I plan to make it up with a follow-up event, that will likely involve more riddles , to come in the near future!

With the sun setting, Julian and Nestor shouldered their weapons as they pushed past some bushes and continued their patrol through the woods near Britain. For weeks on end they had watched these woods for any sign of the encroaching Void and its destructive manifestations or the crystals that preceded them, but to no avail. By now, both Royal Guard walked the same path by rote, confident that Britain had not yet come underneath the Shadow of the Void.
That is, until a massive tentacle of blackened energy erupted from seemingly nowhere and struck without warning, smashing Nestor face first into a nearby tree trunk, killing him in a sickening and bloody instant of skull crushing gore.
Julian froze in utter terror and surprise, watching his companion lifelessly drop to the dirt, the giant mass of monstrous flesh and appendage responsible for the act materializing above the corpse. The reek of its manifestation stank of the Void, ominous and corrupting, the beast sucking the very life out of the green nature that surrounded its arrival.
Winning over his stone like limbs, Julian forced himself to turn away from the silent abomination, thinking only to warn the others. Two more beasts similar in form, already materialized, awaited his retreat, and Julian felt only a momentary spike of pain as a pair of tentacles thrust through his chest and belly, piercing his armor and flesh alike as if it were nothing, before the merciful nothingness of death had overtaken him.

The Shadow of the Void looms over Britain and Void Crystals have formed in anticipation of the attack! Royal Investigator Miles Brinn has called an emergency meeting of the Guard to contest this threat!
